Using Epico and accepting these Terms

These Terms govern your use of Epico’s reading, publishing, translation, voice and video features. Account holders must explicitly accept the current version to continue using account features. Google sign-in authenticates you; it is separate from accepting these Terms and choosing optional cookies. If you do not agree, do not use account features and sign out.

When these Terms change materially, we will show the revised version and request acceptance again. Changes apply prospectively. This preview draft is for testing and review; preview acceptance is separate from any production account agreement.

Your account and conduct

Provide accurate account information, secure your Google account, and use only accounts and content you are authorized to use. You are responsible for activity you authorize. Tell us about suspected misuse using the contact listed above.

Do not upload unlawful content, infringe copyright, impersonate someone, harass others, expose private information, distribute malware, bypass access restrictions or abuse service capacity. Do not use voice cloning to deceive, defraud or impersonate someone without permission. If you are under the age of legal capacity, involve a parent or guardian before creating an account or supplying recordings; do not submit another child’s recordings without appropriate authorization.

Your comics, recordings and other content

You retain the rights you hold in your content. Upload only material you own or have permission to use, including comic art, dialogue, music, translations and voice recordings. You must obtain permission from the person whose voice you record or clone, and the necessary authorization for a minor’s voice.

You grant Epico a non-exclusive permission to store, process, reproduce and deliver your submitted content only as needed to operate the features you request, including generating translations, lettering, speech and videos. Publishing authorizes public display and delivery of that content. This does not transfer ownership of your work to Epico.

Creator voice libraries are private to their owner. Administrators manage a separate shared voice library; voices deliberately approved and published there can be offered to other creators. Publishing a shared voice requires permission for that broader use. A voice assigned to a cast may be copied into that cast’s recording; deleting its library entry does not automatically remove previously assigned recordings or generated videos.

AI translations, speech and videos

Generated results can contain translation mistakes, incorrect pronunciation, inconsistent voices or visual errors. Review results before publishing and use the available editing controls. Epico does not guarantee accuracy, uniqueness, suitability or that a generated result can be protected by copyright. You remain responsible for the rights and appropriateness of what you publish.

Moderation and copyright reports

We may restrict, unpublish or remove content, or suspend an account, when reasonably needed to address unlawful activity, rights complaints, safety concerns or abuse. Where practicable, we will explain the reason and allow you to respond; urgent protective measures may occur first.

For copyright or voice misuse reports, contact the operator with the affected URL, your identity and contact details, the work or recording involved, and why you believe the use is unauthorized. Include evidence of your authority to make the request. Do not knowingly submit false reports. A functioning reporting contact must be provided before this draft is used on production.

Availability, charges and third-party services

Epico currently provides access without a subscription charge. Availability, generation limits and experimental features may change. We will disclose any future paid offer and its terms before charging you. No payment is authorized by accepting these Terms.

Google authentication, linked social services and optional external support pages operate under their own terms and privacy policies. An external support payment is handled by the relevant provider, not by Epico’s signup agreement. We may pause features for maintenance or discontinue them, with notice where reasonably practicable.

Responsibility and disputes

The service is provided as available. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not promise uninterrupted operation or error-free AI output. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded, or excuses fraud, willful misconduct or obligations under applicable privacy law.

Philippine law governs these Terms, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you. Contact the operator first so we can try to resolve a concern. This does not prevent you from approaching a competent court or regulator, including the National Privacy Commission.
