Privacy notice

Information we handle

• Google sign-in: your verified email address, name, profile picture and Google account identifier. Authentication provider records may include tokens used to complete sign-in. We do not receive your Google password.
• Account and activity: username, role, profile details, followed series, ratings, comments, reading progress and agreement version/date.
• Creator content: uploaded art, chapter text, cast information, translations, recordings, voice transcripts and generated audio/video, including processing jobs and error information.
• Operational information: requests, technical logs and security information needed to run and protect the service. Hosting and network providers may process IP addresses and device/request information.
• Optional analytics: when you accept it, Google Analytics processes usage events, browser/device information and identifiers through its tag and cookies.

Profile details and content you choose to publish are visible to visitors. Avoid publishing personal or sensitive information you do not want shared. Voice recordings and the information they reveal may be sensitive; upload them only with proper permission.

Why we process information

We use account information to authenticate you and provide the account features you request. Content and recordings are processed to provide publishing, translation, speech and video generation. Reading progress and preferences support your reading experience. Agreement records demonstrate the version you accepted.

We also process necessary operational data to secure the service, investigate abuse, maintain reliability and address legal requests. Depending on the activity, the basis is performance of our agreement, compliance with legal obligations, or legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service, subject to your rights. Optional analytics uses your consent. Recording or cloning another person’s voice requires appropriate permission and, where applicable, specific consent from that person.

Who receives information

The operator and authorized administrators can access information needed for support, moderation and operations. Service providers handle data on our behalf or under their own policies: Google for authentication and consented analytics, hosting and network/security providers such as Hostinger and Cloudflare, configured file-storage services, and the speech and AI processing services used for the features you request. Data may be handled outside the Philippines.

Uploaded pages, text and voice samples can be sent to the configured AI or speech processing service to generate results. Private creator voice lists are restricted to the owner in the app; authorized operational access and copies assigned to a cast remain possible. Shared administrator voices are offered to other creators only after publication. Epico does not sell your personal information.

Clicking an external social or support link sends you to that provider, which may receive the shared URL and technical information. We do not load the embedded support widget automatically. Google’s processing is described in Google’s Privacy Policy and its partner-site disclosure.

Storage, security and retention

We use authenticated access controls for private media and creator voice libraries. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Do not upload recordings or personal information you do not have permission to provide.

Account records and submitted content are retained while needed to provide your account and requested features, or to handle outstanding moderation, security or legal matters. Deleting a voice library entry does not necessarily remove cast copies or audio already generated. Backup copies can remain until their scheduled rotation, and third-party providers apply their own retention rules. We do not promise immediate erasure from every backup.

This preview draft does not establish a verified fixed retention schedule for operational logs, backups or Google Analytics. Those periods must be confirmed and documented before production publication. Cookie-choice storage expires after 180 days unless you change it sooner.

Your choices and rights

You can edit available profile and content fields, reject optional analytics, or change your cookie choice anytime. Withdrawal stops future optional tracking; it does not automatically delete information already sent to Google or cancel processing needed for account security and requested services.

You may request information, access, correction, objection, deletion or blocking, and data portability where applicable under Philippine law. Contact the operator using the address above. We may need to verify your identity and explain any lawful restriction on a request. Account deletion requests require contacting the operator; this notice does not claim there is an automatic account-deletion button.

You can also contact the National Privacy Commission. A working contact and an actual request-handling process must be in place before production publication.

Children and changes

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child’s information or voice was supplied without appropriate authorization, contact us to review and address it. Do not upload another person’s personal information or recordings without permission.

We will update this notice when our practices change and show the revision date. Material changes will be brought to users’ attention. Optional consent remains separate from Terms acceptance.
